How to set up your eSIM before you travel

A 6-step travel eSIM setup checklist — install using the app over Wi-Fi, switch mobile data after landing, and connect the included VPN. Backed by Apple, Google, and Samsung support docs.

Step 1 of 6

Install your eSIM on Wi-Fi

  1. Open the eSIMbundle app → Account → My eSIM → Set up your eSIM.
  2. Connect your phone to reliable Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap Install eSIM on this phone and approve the system prompts; use QR or manual details if direct installation is unavailable.
  4. Follow the prompts to add the eSIM.
  5. Wait until the new cellular line appears.
Expected result: A new cellular line appears on your phone.
Heads up: Check the data line, Data Roaming and bundle status before repeating setup.

Apps still behave differently

Some apps, banks, streaming services, and account-based platforms may still apply their own security, licensing, account, or regional rules. The included VPN helps with privacy and unrestricted internet, but individual platforms can still make their own decisions.
