eSIMbundle help

Fix apps and websites that stop working abroad

Separate mobile-data problems from VPN, local-network and service restrictions when an app fails during travel.

Quick answer

Test a simple webpage and a second app with VPN disconnected. If nothing loads, fix the data connection first. If only one service fails, investigate that service and try the included VPN when eligible.

Check the underlying connection

Turn Wi-Fi off to test cellular data, or compare with a trusted Wi-Fi connection. Confirm the eSIM data line, roaming, destination coverage and usable bundle.

If all apps fail on cellular data, use the data-not-working guide. VPN cannot repair an exhausted bundle or missing signal.

Try the included VPN

Open VPN in the eSIMbundle app using your normal account. Check active qualifying bundle access, choose a country and connect. Approve the OS permission if requested.

For China or Russia, use Change for China/Russia → China & Russia if needed. If one country fails, try another offered country. Active access and connected status are separate.

When only one app fails

Some banking, work and streaming services apply their own location, security or VPN restrictions. Try the service with VPN both connected and disconnected, and check its error message or service status.

Check the app’s mobile-data permission, updates and account verification. Keep a way to receive legitimate account-verification messages. Do not bypass security warnings or repeatedly retry sensitive transactions.

When the problem is hotel or airport Wi-Fi

Complete the Wi-Fi sign-in page first. Test browsing before connecting VPN. If that network blocks VPN, try your eSIM data where coverage and allowance permit.

VPN over Wi-Fi still requires active qualifying bundle access. It is not automatically available just because you previously bought a plan.

Choose the guide that matches the problem

Describe which apps work, which fail, the error, destination, network type, VPN mode/country and whether the issue happens with VPN off.

Use the result to choose the next step: if all apps fail, check mobile data; if only VPN fails, check VPN access and connection settings; if one service fails on both Wi-Fi and mobile data, follow that service’s own error or verification instructions.

Common questions

Will VPN make every app work?

No. Local networks and individual services can still restrict access. VPN can help in some cases but cannot guarantee access.

Do I need another VPN login?

No. Use your eSIMbundle account in the eSIMbundle app.
