Quick answer
The installed profile is usually called Webbing in your phone’s settings. If you renamed it, use your chosen name. Select this line for mobile data and turn Data Roaming on for this line when you are ready to connect at your destination.
Turn roaming on for the travel eSIM
eSIMbundle uses partner networks, so Data Roaming should be on for the installed eSIMbundle line. This setting is separate from roaming on your home SIM.
Find Webbing or your chosen label. Do not enable the setting on the wrong line.
On iPhone
- Open Settings → Mobile Service, Cellular or Mobile Data.
- Select the eSIMbundle line and turn Data Roaming on.
- Select that line for mobile data. Turn off Allow Mobile Data Switching if you do not want fallback to your home SIM.
On Android
On Samsung, look under Connections → SIM manager and Mobile networks. On Pixel, look under Network & internet → SIMs. Choose the eSIMbundle line for mobile data and turn on its roaming setting. Labels vary by device.
Manage your home SIM separately
Keep home-line data roaming off unless you intend to use your home provider’s roaming service. Turning off data roaming does not prevent all charges for calls or texts; check your home provider’s rules.
Keeping a home SIM enabled for verification texts is a separate choice from using it for mobile data.
If data still does not work
Check destination coverage, bundle allowance and expiry in the app. Test without VPN, then follow the data-not-working guide. If the profile is missing from SIM settings, reinstall it using your QR code.
Common questions
Will enabling travel-eSIM roaming charge my home provider?
The setting applies to the selected line. Choose the eSIMbundle line for data and disable automatic switching; home-line calls/texts and any home roaming remain subject to your home provider’s rules.
Does roaming start my bundle?
Installing the profile does not start a bundle. A bundle starts automatically on its first supported data/network use in its coverage area; its validity then runs according to the plan. Check the bundle details for its allowance, coverage and expiry.
